CHALLENGE

Investors in BOXX Insurance wanted to see their brand compete with big insurance companies like Zurich (also an investor) and better funded startups.  Embarking on a growth path from 10 employees to over 100, BOXX asked Automaticos to work directly with their CEO, CPO and creative director to deliver big brand results over two years.

INSIGHTS

BOXX is an insurtech with distinctive strength in digital protection services that complement cyber insurance coverage for small businesses.  We needed to find the smartest ways to create awareness not only of the brand, but efficiently promote its key difference vs big players and well funded startups. We started with the “power of three” category definers: PREDICT – PREVENT - INSURE

ANSWERS

Created new positioning for the company, cleaned up the brand architecture, then positioned each product brand vs relevant competition. Created a new category-leading website, digital marketing platform, and delivered strategy, planning, creative direction and implementation of annual effective, efficient paid media campaigns across broker-focused publications.

RESULTS
  • Awareness with brokers went from 10% to 46% in under two years

  • Preference went from 10% to 50% in under two years

  • NPS is a class-leading 83 (beating even the biggest insurers)

  • Captured a significant part of the Canadian cyber market, now expanding into USA, India and beyond.
